unexpected weekends in northampton (& mini life update)

I couldn’t have asked for a better last weekend with my favourite ladies! I ended up in Northampton, MA both Saturday and Sunday. Northampton is a great fun little area; it’s a nice getaway from the quiet life in South Hadley.

On Saturday, my friends from Mount Holyoke and I took the PVTA (pioneer valley transit authority) to Northampton, where we ended up at Nourish Cafe. I highly recommend this place if you’re into crunchy granola, upscale clean eating- their acai bowls, buddha bowls, avo toast and smoothies were all delicious!

After gorging on heaps of (healthy) food, we decided to walk around, enjoying the small hustle and bustle that Northampton has to offer.

!!! Life Update !!!

I applied to Mount Holyoke prior to my gap year, and at that time, it was the perfect school for me. As you guys know, the person I was before my gap year, and the person I became having completed it, are two entirely different people. I still love Mount Holyoke, however, I do not feel as if it is the school for me. I have decided to transfer out of this lovely place and attend university in the UK.

It’s an incredibly bittersweet transition. On one hand, I am so so sad to be leaving the wonderful people I have met at this school. Emma, Faryal, and Sarah, along with many others, are truly strong and beautiful women who I feel so blessed to know. On the other hand, I am incredibly excited to get my life going in the direction I’d like it to.

The upcoming months will be spent interning abroad and living in China to improve my Chinese. Expect plenty of blog posts about living abroad and figuring life out, along with some classic destination posts.

Sunday was spent saying goodbye to friends so close I consider them family. Cec and Rhi came down to visit me with their boyfriends! Nothing between us had changed. I am so so thankful to have these two in my life. They stick by me through everything (including my nomadic ways).

Such a good weekend spent exploring the pioneer valley with good friends.

Keep up with my misadventures every Monday and Friday!

Spread the love
