unexpected greece

Greece is one of the most beautiful places. Classic white and blue tones EVERYWHERE send you into instant relaxation. While in Greece, Cam and I ventured down to Mykonos, Thira (Santorini), and Rhodes, and we were not disappointed by any of them in the slightest.

Mykonos

Mykonos is compared to Ibiza for its party scene, which Cam and I went hunting for, but didn’t find easily. We stayed in the Old Town in a lovely little studio, and found that the parties were all at beach hostels, which the busses didn’t run late enough to get to. With that said, Cam and I still had our fun in Mykonos and enjoyed the beaches, bars, and sightseeing along the old town.

Santorini (Thira)

Santorini… my favorite of the islands, and possibly my favorite place in Greece. When you think of the Greek Islands, Santorini is the place that minds instantly roam to, and its easy to see why. Santorini is absolutely stunning. Here, Cam and I enjoyed the black beach, Perissa, and also took a boat to the volcano and hot springs, as well as spending some time in Fira and Oia.

Rhodes

Rhodes was absolutely charming. The beaches were clean, hot, and clear, and the old town was fabulous to wander around. Pictures of Rhodes are quite scarce because I ran out of memory (oops). Cam and I spent about a week in Rhodes. I almost wish that we had spent more time on Mykonos and Thira instead of so long in Rhodes, but only because Rhodes does not have the typical “Greek Island” vibe that we were after.

The Greek Islands are truly incredible, and they all vary slightly. As we sailed between all three beautiful islands, I couldn’t help but feel inspired by each in their own way. The best part is that there are so many more islands to see, so many more islands to explore.
